Who We Are.

Rahway River Trout Unlimited is one of the newest New Jersey Trout Unlimited chapters. We are an organization of men and women that strive to protect our cold freshwater fisheries throughout the state. Our members meet once a month, discuss many topics from conservation to fishing. We also go on fishing trips throughout the year, conduct river cleanups, host fly tying events, and partake in many other activities. If you like fishing or just want to give back to the environment then RRTU is for you. So tell a friend, come on out and enjoy yourself, learn a few new things, meet some new fishing buddies, and perhaps even consider joining our Trout Unlimited Chapter - #155. We meet at the Cranford Community Center for our General meetings and Fly tying nights.

MWA River Watcher program announces 2013 Training Sessions- spots available

The MWA River Watcher Water Quality Monitoring Program is inviting interested citizens to sign up to monitor the river’s health for this year. No experience is necessary; you need to be 16 years of age or older, and attend the required annual field and lab training sessions.
The River Watchers monitor four stream locations, four times per year, measuring basic water chemistry and sampling aquatic creatures that live in freshwater streams. This program is a great way to learn about the river and protect it. The full training will be held on April 6th from 9-3pm at Warren County Community College. River Watcher monitoring usually occurs in late April, July, October, and January.
Please call the Musconetcong Watershed Association at 908-537-7060 to reserve your seat and for more details. You may also email the River Watcher Coordinator at nancy@musconetcong.org.
